This article focuses on the social networks that facilitate projects based activities in one particular part of cultural industries. Cultural industries are dependent on flexible ways of organizing their work because they operate in unpredictable markets. The Compound Machinery of Government: The Case of Seconded Officials in the European Commission

textabstractThis article explores the compound machinery of government. Attention is directed toward decision making within the core executive of the European Union - the European Commission. The article studies seconded national civil servants (SNEs) hired on short-term contracts. The analysis benefits from an original and rich body of surveys and interview data derived from current and former SNEs. The decision-making dynamics of SNEs are shown to contain a compound mix of departmental, epistemic, and supranational dynamics. Master's thesis in Innovative governance and public management (ME523) This study sheds light on research innovation centers in a Norwegian setting. Research innovation centers are a hybrid of research groups and innovation centers and belong to the higher education (HE) sector. The aim of this study is to identify the formal organization structure oftwo cases of research innovation centers and to find a suitable explanation through the analysis of its institutional pillars, according to W.
